Rebel Machine, a Brazilian rock band, was gearing up to release their debut album with a Swedish music label as they prepared for a tour to promote it. Their music is authentic garage rock, and the album is called 'Nothing Happens Overnight.'They reached out to me to create their logo and album cover, but my authentic enthusiasm for the topic led me to create additional visual elements to expand the band's artistic visual identity.
I thought it would be cool to use black and white for the album to capture the band's genuine rock 'n' roll vibe. We also had a striking deep red option, but in the end, I prefered to stick with the black and white style.
I aimed to stay true to the rock 'n' roll vibe and come up with designs and icons that have a kind of 'tattoo aesthetic touch', with the idea that maybe the elements could be actually tattooed. And guess what? It worked! The band members actually got the album cover inked on their skin. Pretty cool, right?
As a genuine rock music lover, being a part of this project was an absolute blast. It was a straightforward yet super enjoyable challenge to be part of. I'm a big fan of all the merchandise and creative stuff I designed for the band.
